Meadowlarks and snow drifts

Life is full of amazing contrasts. An early spring storm means meadowlarks scrambling for cover while my snowshoes get another shot at the mesa above my home. With a tester pair of Baffin ATTACK boots strapped to my 22" Atlas shoes, the climbs are fast in the 12"-24" blanket resting on rocks and cacti underneath. Sun and temporary whiteouts take turns as the contrasts make for constant clothing adjustments along with moment-by-moment wonderment.
