It's March 1st, clear, cold and still in Rez. We depart tomorrow for Eureka weather Station then onto Ward Hunt Island.

We are working steady on what seems to be shear will giving the long hours to get ready...final adjustments to ski bindings, running through all our food, repacking medical kit so on and so on.

We are all pictured here in front of a good friend we hope not to meet on
the trail. Especially during the first week when we're traveling during the darkness of polar night.
