Today the team reports that they started with decent conditions (-39 F and clear) but by mid day the clouds had rolled in and the temperature increased to a balmy -20F. With the warm temperatures came very low visibility followed by virtual white-out conditions. Several times today they encountered big leads trending in a NW or NNW direction. The leads were solid enough to ski on and the team enjoyed traveling on the relatively flat, smooth surfaces of the leads. After some minor ski repair in the tent tonight the team in ready for some R & R, They were on the go for 7 hours and they traveled 6.4 nautical miles. Their current position in degrees, minutes, seconds, is N84.03.30, W78.08.05.
