A new remote audio post has been added to the blog...
Today the team reports 13.6 nautical miles in 11 hours. They drifted 2 miles south overnight, and likely another 2 miles south during the day, so in reality they skied closer to 15 miles. It can be very frustrating to work hard all day knowing that while you ski north you are constantly drifting to the south. It is one of the great challenges of any North Pole expedition, and it is commonly referred to as the "Polar Treadmill." The team remains in good spirits and they are counting down the miles until they reach 90 degrees. Check back in tomorrow for another dispatch!
