July 8th, 2001, will see a joint expedition between Northern Gas Team and Starfish Enterprise to be the first recreational or professional group to ever dive this historic wreck. She lies 220 miles offshore in the Atlantic, 158m from the surface. The aims are to video and survey the wreck, which lies upright with her superstructure collapsed in on herself, but mainly intact; to explore the wreck thoroughly; and to locate and recover the ship's bell from the seabed, which has already been identified by Gary Goodyear's ROV, and present it to the wreck's owner Graham Jessop.\n\nExpedition Site\n
