While I may be on the East Coast preparing for a presentation at the University of New Hampshire, I wanted to take a little time to let you know some of the amazing things the seventh graders are doing in Black River Falls Middle School.
Pictured is a project completed by one of Paul Dutton's students named Emma. The poster was done for a science class assignment. It was put together to help prepare students to better understand what some of the things that I would be talking about in my North Pole/Global Warming presentation (that I gave in February).
Paul made an extra effort to prepare his students by showing the 7th graders "An Inconvenient Truth". They were then asked to make a poster showing ways that they could help stop global warming. Not shown on the picture is a 3 paragraph essay showing what they learned about global warming from the movie and my presentation. Many students went further and looked up information on the Internet as well. Not pictured as well are some of the other great student posters. I liked them all.
Thanks Paul for making the effort to help better educate your students about some of the issues surrounding Global Warming. Remember within each of us lies the ability to help save the polar bear and stop Global Warming. Follow Emma's poster and you will have already made six simple choices to help save the planet for future generations.
